Ingredients:
3 Cups Fresh Raw Plain White Rice (or any other type of desired rice)
Water
Salt
Oil
Directions:
Add some oil (about 3 tablespoons) to a large rice pan or sauce pan. Add salt (enough to flavor rice - the same amount as oil). Add the fresh raw rice. Slightly mix these together distributing the oil and salt evenly throughout the rice. Then add water (If you want mushy or sticky rice - add about 1/2 - 1 whole cup more of water than you have rice [in this recipe that would be about 4 cups]; If you want more firm or dry rice - add the exact same amount of water as you have rice [in this recipe that would be 3 Cups] - For Asian rice, it might be better to have more mushy or sticky rice so that it is easy to eat with chopsticks). Mix the ingredients to distribute the flavors throughout rice once again. Turn the heat on medium and cover the rice pan or sauce pan with a lid. Let the rice steam for 20 to 25 minutes. Lift the lid to check after this amount of time (all the water should have evaporated and the rice should be moist and soft). The rice should be cooked. Serve hot and fresh or use this cooked rice to create other rice dishes such as fried rice. Enjoy!
This recipe serves 4 - 6 people. Add other flavorings when adding salt to create unique and exotic concoctions.
